Origin Broadband are a straightforward no-frills provider, offering both part fibre and full fibre connections across the Openreach network.
That means, for 50% of UK homes, customers can access Origin Broadband's full fibre deals, while everyone else yet to be passed by full fibre can sign up to one of their superfast part fibre plans instead.
Customers can choose from one of the following Origin Broadband packages:
While Origin offer a wide array of speed tiers, the provider doesn't offer many extra services with their broadband plans, with all full fibre packages provided as data-only lines, and home phone only being an option on part fibre plans.
There is also only one choice of contract length, which is 18 months, although the setup fee is low at just £12 for the router delivery.
Origin is a retail broadband provider who resells access to the Openreach network, which covers up to 98% of the UK.
Superfast part fibre plans with download speeds of at least 30Mbps are available to over 94% of homes across the UK, while Openreach has now passed over 16 million premises, or 50% of homes, with their new full fibre to the home connections.
Origin Broadband is therefore available across all of these network areas, and availability will continue to expand as Openreach roll out to more towns and villages across the UK.
The main target for this underlying network is to reach 25 million premises or 80% of the UK by the end of 2026, and Origin Broadband will have availability to all premises.
That means, availability is rapidly changing, so it's always worthwhile to keep an eye on the results for your particular postcode using our free postcode tool above, which can show you the Origin Broadband packages you can get.

The Origin broadband deals listed in the table above are for new customers only, which means you'll need to have had a broadband service with another provider for at least 3 months to be eligible for these offers.
Current deals for new customers signing up with Origin Broadband focus primarily on discounts on the monthly price for an introductory period, usually the length of the minimum term contract.
We list the latest Origin broadband deals available above, and keep our data updated on a weekly basis or as soon as the offers change.
Prices can sometimes differ through our comparison service than on Origin's website directly, so it's important to use the 'Get deals' button above and sign up online to get the listed prices.
Origin broadband deals come with a minimum contract period of 18 months, and cancellation before this will be subject to early termination fees.
At the end of the minimum term, the monthly price of the Origin broadband package will also revert to the standard monthly price, which will be higher than any promotional prices offered at the start of the contract.
Each year, the monthly price will increase by £3 per month effective on April 1st.
If customers want to cancel Origin broadband they'll be required to return the router and a charge could be made if the router isn't returned or proof of delivery can't be provided.
While Origin Broadband was sold to TalkTalk in late 2021 and stopped taking on new customers, it's existing customer base continued to be served.
Still owned by TalkTalk, in late 2024, the Origin Broadband brand has started taking on new customers again.
Origin broadband comes with a Zyxel VMG8825-T50 router, which supports 802.11ac wireless, or WiFi 5.
It's a dual-band router, using the 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels, and has four 1Gb Ethernet LAN ports, with WPA2 security encryption.
All Origin broadband full fibre packages are available only as data-only lines and cannot be taken with a home phone service.
Part fibre plans can be taken with a home phone service however, with Pay As You Go calls included at no extra cost, while the Unlimited anytime call plan costs £12 per month.
Home moves with Origin broadband do not incur any additional fees, however, if a customer is moving outside of a network area and must cancel their contract they would be subject to early leaving fees.
This could happen if a customer on a full fibre plan with Origin moves to an area with only part fibre connections available.
