Who is NOW Full Fibre 75 best suited for?
NOW Full Fibre 75 is best for those coming to full fibre broadband for the first time, as well as smaller households on a budget who just want a simple Internet connection.
Full Fibre 75 is NOW Broadband's entry-level option for those living in full fibre enabled areas where Openreach has rolled out - which is approximately 16 million premises, or 50% of UK homes, so far.
This plan offers average download speeds of 75Mbps at peak times, and average upload speeds of 16Mbps. So, it's suitable for the following activities:
- Streaming TV and films in HD, or even Ultra HD, resolution
- Gaming online (though downloading large game files will be slow)
- Making or receiving video calls in HD or 4K UHD
- Where one or two people are working from home, or going online, simultaneously
The average download speed of 75Mbps offered by NOW Full Fibre 75 surpasses the minimum required speed for most activities, including streaming in 4K Ultra HD.
However, where customers may find its limitations is when multiple people are going online at the same time, which is why this package is likely best suited to smaller households where only one or two people are going online at the same time.
For those in larger houses, it is possible to upgrade this plan by taking the Sky WiFi Max add-on which swaps out the router for a newer WiFi 6 model and includes up to three Plume WiFi Pods to boost wireless coverage around a home. However, while wireless coverage can be improved, the shareable bandwidth will still be limited, so those with more occupants may want to consider NOW Full Fibre 100 or even NOW Full Fibre 300 instead.
Ultimately however, NOW Full Fibre 75 is a great low-cost option for those who want to keep costs down, but also benefit from the hardware and support service of parent company Sky, who now directly provide this package.
What does NOW Full Fibre 75 offer?
NOW Full Fibre 75 offers average download speeds of 75Mbps at peak times over a full fibre to the home connection, wherever Openreach FTTP is available.
NOW Broadband customers get a home phone line included as standard, and are now provided with a Sky Broadband Hub, and access to Sky customer service and the MySky app, along with Sky Broadband Shield parental controls and Sky's Wall-to-Wall WiFi guarantee.
Package | Broadband | Monthly price | Upfront price | Contract term | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Full Fibre 75 | 75Mb average | £23 | £5 | 24 months | |
Offer: £5 refundable advance fee for new customers if applicable |
Currently priced at just £23 per month, NOW Full Fibre 75 is one of the UK's cheapest broadband packages.
There is a £5 upfront fee to cover credit checking, but this is refunded against a customer's first bill.
Annual price rises for new customers are suspended until April 2026, although at that point NOW Broadband term's state that prices may rise. In 2024, prices went up by £3 per month, so that's a reasonable amount to expect prices to go up by in the future.
In terms of optional extras, NOW Broadband customers can add an inclusive call plan to their package, as well as access Sky WiFi Max, which upgrades the router to the WiFi 6 enabled Sky Max Hub, adds up to three Plume WiFi Pods and a WiFi guarantee of 10Mbps in every room, and includes advanced parental controls in the MySky app.
Sky WiFi Max costs £6 per month for NOW Full Fibre 75 customers, bringing the total package price to £29 per month for those taking this add-on.
NOW Full Fibre 75 + calls
NOW Full Fibre 75 comes with a digital home phone line as standard, and calls are made available on a pay as you go basis.
Calling charges for UK landlines and UK mobiles are 27 pence per minute, plus a 25 pence connection charge. Alternatively, customers can add one of the following call plans:
Inclusive calls | Monthly price | |
---|---|---|
Talk Evenings & Weekends | Calls to UK landlines and UK mobiles Monday to Friday evenings, 7pm to 7am, and all weekend | £8 |
Talk Anytime | Calls to UK landlines and UK mobiles at any time | £15.50 |
These call plans only cover calls of up to one hour in duration, so for longer calls customers need to remember to hang up and re-dial.
Sky Talk taken out as a new customer with NOW Broadband is also subject to a minimum term of 24 months, and so the talk plan can't be cancelled early.
NOW Full Fibre 75 + Sky TV
Sadly, since becoming 'powered by Sky', NOW Broadband no longer offers discounts for bundling NOW TV Memberships.
However, new customers can take Sky TV at the checkout, although it isn't currently any cheaper than signing up directly.
Sky Ultimate TV costs from £22 per month on its own with current discounts, and that's the same price made available to NOW Broadband customers adding it during the checkout process:
Package | TV | Broadband | Monthly price | Upfront price | Contract term | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Sky Ultimate TV + Full Fibre 75 | 142 | 75Mb average | £39 | Free | 24 months | |
Offer: Save £6/mth on Sky Ultimate TV + Sky broadband just £21/mth + Free setup (Ends 03/02/2025) | ||||||
Full Fibre 75 + Sky TV | 150 | 75Mb average | £45 | £5 | 24 months | |
Offer: Save £6/mth on Sky TV + £5 refundable advance fee for new customers if applicable |
In contrast, as you can see from the table above, Sky Full Fibre 75 when bundled with Sky TV is reduced in price to just £21 per month, making it cheaper than NOW overall, and becoming the better option, considering these broadband plans are more or less identical.
There's also a more budget-friendly option available with Sky broadband, called Sky Essential TV, which bundles Sky Atlantic, Netflix and Discovery+ Basic, for just £15 per month.

NOW Full Fibre 75 vs Full Fibre 100
NOW Full Fibre 100 is the next plan up from Full Fibre 75. It offers faster average download speeds, and costs £2 more per month.
Package | Broadband | Monthly price | Upfront price | Contract term | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Full Fibre 75 | 75Mb average | £23 | £5 | 24 months | |
Offer: £5 refundable advance fee for new customers if applicable | |||||
Full Fibre 100 | 100Mb average | £25 | £5 | 24 months | |
Offer: £5 refundable advance fee for new customers if applicable |
Both plans come with the same home phone line and call plan options, as well as the same setup fee, minimum term contract, and annual price rise policy - with both having prices frozen until April 2026.
NOW Full Fibre 100 does have a slightly higher out of contract price of £44 per month, compared to £43 per month with Full Fibre 75. Although with either option customers would be sent end of contract notifications and given the option to recontract at a cheaper price or switch away.
Should you upgrade?
Households may find the slight bump in speed on the Full Fibre 100 plan worth the extra £2 per month charge. While NOW Full Fibre 75 will be perfectly adequate for most, and is ideal for those looking to save money on their broadband, average speeds in the UK have now reached 223Mbps, so for those who can afford it, getting a slightly faster deal will make sharing the connection with others more enjoyable.
How does NOW Full Fibre 75 compare?
NOW Full Fibre 75 is one of the cheapest broadband packages in the UK, and is usually cheaper than any other equivalent speed full fibre plan from the major providers.
Vodafone comes close with their Full Fibre 74 plan, while Plusnet, TalkTalk, and Sky also all come in more expensive.
Package | Broadband | Monthly price | Upfront price | Contract term | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Full Fibre 75 | 75Mb average | £23 | £5 | 24 months | |
Offer: £5 refundable advance fee for new customers if applicable | |||||
Full Fibre 74 | 73Mb average | £24.50 | Free | 24 months | |

Full Fibre 74 | 74Mb average | £25.99 | Free | 24 months | |
Offer: Save over £17/mth + No setup fee + Exclusive offers and discounts for Plusnet customers (Ends 05/03/2025) | |||||
Full Fibre 150 | 150Mb average | £26 | £5 | 24 months | |
Offer: WiFi Max just £4/mth + (£5 refundable setup fee for new customers if applicable) |
While NOW Full Fibre 75 is very cheap, it's still possible to find cheaper options. Onestream offer an equivalent speed plan for just £19 per month, for example, although this doesn't have a phone line and the router will be more basic.
There are serious benefits to NOW Full Fibre 75 for the cost-conscious however, as it now benefits from Sky's unparalleled customer service, the Sky Broadband Hub, and other Sky features like parental controls and the Wall-to-Wall WiFi guarantee.
Overall, NOW Full Fibre 75 is a very good option for those want a cheap broadband deal without sacrificing too much on customer service or hardware.
How fast is NOW Full Fibre 75?
NOW Full Fibre 75 offers average download speeds of 75Mbps and average upload speeds of 16Mbps at peak times.
The connection is provided on the full fibre to the home network rolled out by Openreach, so property distance from the exchange no longer affects the speeds delivered.
Average download speed at peak times | Average upload speed at peak times | |
---|---|---|
NOW Full Fibre 75 | 75Mb | 19Mb |
NOW Full Fibre 100 | 100Mb | 19Mb |
Average speeds must be received by at least 50% of a provider's customer base between the peak hours of 8pm to 10pm in the evening, so potential customers can be confident of the speeds they'll receive.
Customers who decide to opt for the faster NOW Full Fibre 100 plan will see an increase to download speeds, but upload speeds remain the same as on the Full Fibre 75 option.
Minimum download speeds
NOW Broadband, and parent company Sky, are both signed up to Ofcom's code of practice on broadband speeds, which means they agree to provide customers with a minimum guaranteed download speed when they sign up.
If the NOW Broadband connection goes on to be slower than this promised minimum, customers have the right to exit their contract without penalty.
We tested a location with Openreach FTTP availability and were given the following minimum guaranteed download speeds:
Estimated download speed | Estimated upload speed | Minimum guaranteed download speed | |
---|---|---|---|
NOW Full Fibre 75 | 76Mb | 18 - 19Mb | 50Mb |
NOW Full Fibre 100 | 100 - 108Mb | 18 - 19Mb | 90Mb |
In addition to this industry standard speed guarantee, Sky also offer customers one month's broadband subscription refunded and the option to switch broadband plan at no extra cost.
If the speed issues occur within 30 days of activating the broadband line, Sky will also refund any upfront fees a customer has paid - although, at the time of writing, the £5 upfront fee for NOW Broadband is refunded on the customer's first bill in any case.
To check speeds being received, customers should use the MySky app and allow any new connections to settle for 14 days.
Router
NOW Full Fibre 75 comes with the Sky Broadband Hub as standard, which offers dual-band wireless up to the WiFi 5, or 802.11ac, protocol.
While the Sky Broadband Hub was first released in September 2019, it still compares well, offering similar specifications to BT's current router the BT Smart Hub 2, TalkTalk's WiFi Hub, and Plusnet's Hub Two.
Here are the specifications of the Sky Broadband Hub:
Sky Broadband Hub | Sky Max Hub | |
---|---|---|
WiFi protocol | 5 (802.11ax) | 6 (802.11ac) |
WiFi bands | Dual-band | Dual-band |
2.4GHz | 4x4 | 4x4 |
5GHz | 4x4 | 4x4 |
Antennae | 8 | 8 |
Ethernet LAN | 4 x 1Gb | 4 x 1Gb |
Security | WPA2 | WPA3 |
Mesh | Yes | Yes |
Despite being a budget broadband brand, NOW Broadband customers can add Sky's WiFi Max add-on to their package for an extra £6 per month.
This includes the newer Sky Max Hub, which supports WiFi 6, as well as improved encryption with WPA3 security. Customers with newer devices, including the Sky Stream box, will be able to benefit from faster speeds over wireless on the 802.11ax (or WiFi 6) protocol.
Other specifications on the Sky Broadband Hub and Sky Max Hub include both devices hosting 8 internal antennae, as well as four 1Gb Ethernet LAN ports for wired connections.
While both routers support mesh, the Sky WiFi Max add-on to gain the mesh boosters includes the router upgrade anyway, so it's not possible to get boosters for the Sky Broadband Hub anymore.
WiFi guarantee
NOW Full Fibre 75 benefits from one of two whole home WiFi guarantees now the package is powered by Sky.
The Wall-to-Wall WiFi guarantee is included as standard and at no extra cost. It works with the provided Sky Broadband Hub and promises minimum download speeds over wireless of 3Mbps in every room.
If customers don't receive this minimum speed they can claim one month's NOW Broadband subscription back.
NOW Broadband customers also have the option to upgrade this WiFi guarantee with the Sky WiFi Max add-on, which bundles the new WiFi 6 enabled Sky Max Hub with up to three Plume WiFi Pods and a promise of minimum wireless download speeds of 10Mbps in every room.
Sky WiFi Max costs £6 per month to add to NOW Full Fibre 75, and customers also benefit from advanced security and parental control tools in the MySky app.
Verdict: Is NOW Full Fibre 75 any good?
NOW Full Fibre 75 is one of the UK's cheapest broadband packages, and is a great choice for those on a budget who want to move to full fibre broadband.
While it's best suited to smaller households with just one or two people sharing the connection, it'll also be more than adequate for families who need a cheap connection for homework and streaming TV.
The main advantage of NOW Full Fibre 75 is that it's now powered by Sky, so NOW Broadband customers get direct access to Sky customer service and features, including Sky hardware and the MySky app with options to access advanced parental controls.
The drawback however, is for anyone who wants to also bundle NOW TV or Sky TV, as exclusive discounts are no longer available for NOW Broadband customers. In this instance, Sky Full Fibre 75 becomes a better choice as Sky TV bundles offer better value for money.
Overall, Full Fibre 75 from NOW Broadband is very competitively priced, and customers don't have to make sacrifices on poor customer service or a cheap router.
