Choose aims to help people around the UK find the most competitive prices on premium and streaming TV plans by offering comprehensive comparison searches.
We include both TV only and TV and broadband bundles in the search above, which can be filtered further based on your own preferences.
We aim to supply customers with clear information in order to help them make an informed decision and find the best TV package for their needs.
The TV packages we list in the table above are frequently updated to ensure all of our customers get a clear picture of the offers available on the market that day.
We list the deals in the comparison table above by price or by fact, and never by referral revenue, so you can trust you're seeing an accurate representation of the plans available. To change the order of the packages displayed, simply use the 'sort by' drop down at the top of the comparison table.
We also include a filter which can further help you to customise the results to only see the deals you're interested in. It's possible to filter by TV only or TV and broadband bundles; particular TV channels wanted; and by one or more particular providers.
Choose covers the wider pay TV and broadband market where we can, so customers can compare deals from a range of providers, including:
Note that, with the exception of Sky, all the other providers require customers to also take their broadband package, so TV and broadband bundles will have the most options available.
To see what's available at your location make sure to enter your postcode in the form field at the top of the page. This will filter out any deals that aren't available to you, so it's easier to find the best TV package from a provider with coverage where you live.
Lastly, please remember that the monthly prices shown will assume that payment is made by direct debit, which may also be a required payment method by many of the providers listed.
To find the cheapest pay TV plan it's possible to order the results by changing the 'sort by' drop down at the top of the comparison table to 'Lowest price'.
This will order the results by cheapest monthly price, whilst also considering the setup price and any introductory offers.
It can work out cheaper to combine pay TV with broadband, with comparisons against taking the services separately usually working out more expensive. So, we've included a filter in the comparison table above to show just TV and broadband bundles, or TV only plans.
Many of the new streaming services, such as Sky Stream and Virgin Media Flex, offer customers the choice of more flexible rolling monthly contracts which can be cancelled at any time or with just 30-days' notice.
BT TV packages can also be switched on a monthly basis, as can the additional subscriptions offered with TalkTalk TV on NOW Memberships.
So, for those who want to watch a particular show or sporting event, it's possible to save money by just subscribing to those premium channels for the time needed, and then switching to something else whenever you want to.
However, it's important to note that some TV packages are bundles with discounts for taking a 'pre-made' package, without additional customisations. For these deals, premium channels will be part of the main service and therefore subject to the same minimum term contract.
Where minimum terms may vary in length for a combination of services and TV channels, we've included the longest minimum term in the table above, and prospective customers can check details by clicking through to the provider, or by reading our in-depth TV reviews.
The pay TV packages in the table above offer access to premium channels including:
While some of these channels will be included as standard, others will need to be added as optional extras.
We've included a filter which allows you to select particular must-have channels, so you only see those TV deals that include the selected channel in the comparison table above.
Each of the pay TV providers in the comparison table on this page will use different methods to deliver the TV content, and therefore, will require different connections.
Sky TV no longer requires a satellite dish, and the new Sky Stream Box and Sky Glass TV sets deliver their TV content over the Internet, without the need for an aerial connection either.
Virgin Media use two different methods to deliver TV, one is via their cable network, which is their TV 360 service, and the other is over the broadband connection, which is their newer Flex packages. As with Sky, none of Virgin Media's TV plans require an aerial connection to work.
While TalkTalk TV requires an aerial connection to watch Freeview, BT TV has both an aerial and an internet-only mode, whereby Freeview content is delivered over the broadband connection.
We have more information on how each TV service works in our full reviews.
The TV packages compared on this page all supply a customer with a TV set-top box, or a smart TV box, which include support for a number of different apps.
The actual apps supported by each box do vary, however, BT, Sky, Virgin Media and TalkTalk all support streaming apps from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, YouTube, and Paramount+.
Of course, all of the free catch-up apps, like BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 and My5 are supported by each pay TV provider.
Other supported apps include:
It's also the case that some of the pay TV plans include subscriptions to streaming apps at no extra cost as a benefit to customers.
Sky TV includes access to Netflix and Discovery+ Standard with all of their plans, while BT includes access to Discovery+ and some plans also include Netflix.
Sky customers who take the Sky Cinema pack will also benefit from a free subscription to Paramount+ as well as two free Vue cinema tickets each month.
TalkTalk TV comes with NOW Boost at no extra cost, so all NOW Membership subscriptions taken will be in 1080p HD and ad-free as standard.
