Full fibre provider Lightspeed is offering 50% off for the first 12 months on their broadband plans.
Launching today, Lightspeed Broadband is offering all their broadband plans for half price for the first year for Black Friday 2024.
New customers signing up between today and 2nd December 2024 through this link, will be able to save up to £420 over the first 12 months.
The entry-level 150Mbps plan is reduced to just £12.99 per month for 12 months, while their 1Gbps plan is just £14.99 per month for 12 months.
Independent full fibre network Lightspeed Broadband have announced their Black Friday offers for 2024.
For new customers signing up online between today and 2nd December 2024 will see all full fibre broadband plans reduced by 50% in price for the first year, saving customers up to £420.
Lightspeed broadband has a minimum term period of 24 months, but do promise that prices won't rise mid-contract.
They offer four broadband speed options, including:
Each of the four plans comes with a reduced £5 setup fee, saving a further £25, and a minimum term contract of 24 months.
Customers who take Lightspeed's cheapest The Essential plan can save £180, while those who opt for The Fast Five can save £200, and £320 on The Millennium plan.
The best value for money is arguably on The Millennium plan, with 1Gbps download and upload speeds, which has been reduced to just £14.99 per month for 12 months, then just £29.99 per month, putting it at the same price as the slower The Fast Five plan.
Those who want the fastest speeds possible can save £420 with The Ultimate. Launched in June 2024 as Lightspeed's first multi-gigabit broadband plan, The Ultimate offers symmetrical download and upload speeds of 2Gb per second, or 2000Mb per second, making it one of the UK's fastest broadband deals.
Want to switch to Lightspeed Broadband but stuck in a contract?
Lightspeed offer new customers a contract buy-out option of up to £250. It works by paying off some or all of any early termination fees due for cancelling a broadband contract early where a customer moves to Lightspeed instead.
There are a few terms and conditions worth being aware of however. Lightspeed will only reimburse early leaving charges on the broadband, and won't cover any costs toward additional services like TV or phone.
Customers also have to sign up with Lightspeed first, get connected, pay their first bill and have been a customer for at least 30 days. However, they'll also need to "provide [Lightspeed] with the final bill you received from your existing provider no later than 7 days after you're activated", so there isn't a huge window to apply for the refund, and then customers will have to wait.
It also means, most customers will have to pay the early termination fee first, especially where they're set up to pay any bills by Direct Debit, as well as being reliant on their existing provider to send their final bill in time.
Ultimately, while it's a tempting offer to switch providers and grab a deal for Black Friday, prospective customers should read Lightspeed's terms and conditions carefully to make sure they remain eligible for any refunds.
