Brsk to connect 10,000 West Yorkshire homes to full fibre broadband

Brsk has announced it will be building in five villages across West Yorkshire, connecting a further 10,000 properties.

Independent full fibre network, Brsk, has announced build plans to connect 10,000 properties in rural villages across West Yorkshire.

Denholme, Haworth, Crossroads, Wilsden, and Cullingworth, are the villages to benefit from Brsk's up to 2Gbps full fibre broadband network.

Brsk so far covers over 500,000 properties across the UK, focusing primarily in West Yorkshire, Lancashire, Manchester, and the West Midlands.

Full fibre broadband in West Yorkshire

Brsk, is a full fibre network, actively building new connections throughout the North West and West Midlands.

In West Yorkshire, Brsk has so far passed over 130,000 properties, with a further 10,000 to be connected in the rural villages of Denholme, Haworth, Crossroads, Wilsden, and Cullingworth.

Residents of Cullingworth have already been connected, and can now order full fibre broadband from Brsk, while those living in Denholme, Haworth, Crossroads, and Wilsden should be connected in the next couple of months by December 2024.

Regional Head, Darryl Nieuwenhuizen said, "We have spent the last 3 years rolling out our full fibre network to a large proportion of the Bradford District and the take up of services has been fantastic.

"We have built a great reputation for ourselves throughout the region, with brsk becoming a household name in the area; we already have over 30% take up in our older cohorts. This success has given us the confidence to extend our network to more rural communities across West Yorkshire and ensure they are not left behind."

In West Yorkshire, Brsk already pass many homes in West Bradford, along with surrounding small towns and villages, including, Brighouse, Elland, Halifax, Bingley, Keighley, Thornton, Queensbury, Northowram, and most recently, Cullingworth.

Most of these areas are already passed by either Openreach full fibre, or Virgin Media, with Nexfibre having filled in gaps in Longwood, Golcar, and Milsbridge in Huddersfield, as well as further south in Holmfirth, Skelmanthorpe, Shelley, Shepley, Denby Dale and Clayton West.

Brsk broadband

Brsk may bring additional benefits to residents in West Yorkshire however, with competitive pricing and up to 2Gbps speeds, with symmetrical downloads and uploads too.

Pricing for Brsk broadband starts at just £19 per month for new customers for 150Mbps symmetrical speeds throughout October and November.

Customers can also get faster broadband with Brsk's BetterNet500 plan for just £25 per month, while gigabit speeds cost from just £30 per month.

Brsk's fastest broadband plan, the new BetterNet2000 package, is priced at just £55 per month, around £15 cheaper per month than Virgin Media's Gig2 package, which has much more limited availability in West Yorkshire, despite Virgin Media's wider overall footprint.

Benefits of Brsk broadband continue from just cheaper pricing however, with the provider promising no mid-contract price hikes, optional rolling monthly contract options, and symmetrical speeds on all plans - perfect for gamers and those who work from home.

In comparison, Virgin Media broadband starts at £25 per month for 132Mbps download speeds at peak times, while Openreach pricing is more varied thanks to the many resellers, but starts around £26 per month for similar download speeds.

Brsk Black Friday

Brsk's Black Friday and Cyber Monday offers this year focus on price reductions, with their 150 to 1000 packages reduced for the duration of the 24-month term.

Customers who sign up throughout November will be able to access these special offer prices:

  • : £19 per month (was £25), saving £144 in total
  • : £25 per month (was £33), saving £192 in total
  • : £30 per month (was £40), saving £240 in total

Customers also benefit from free installation worth £150, fixed prices for the duration of the contract, and a wireless router.
